Pear and Partridge Treat Card

I made this little treat card using our wonderful Cricut Cartridge Artiste. I cut the image at 2 1/2 using the Pear and Partridge paper packet. It is the perfect size for a Ghiradelli Chocolate! You can also cut it at 3 1/2 and it would fit a gift card!

We will be making these at my annual Holiday Open House this Tuesday December 4th! Please message me for more information! I will have lots of new projects to share with you, sale items for cash and carry as well drawings for prizes and refreshements! I am making soup and pumpkin muffins too! CTMH Advent Calendar Kit

 

 

 

 

I did it! I finished my WOTG Advent calendar before December 1st! The kit (G1044) and the Cricut Artiste Cartridge made it really easy! I chose to stamp my numbers on Colonial White cardstock for more contrast. I also blinged up each box a little! I used the papers, as well as the dimensional elements and bitty bling provided in the kit. Ink colors are Cranberry, Cocoa and Olive.

This would be fun to make as a Birthday countdown, Wedding countdown or even a vacation countdown! The frame is available individually (Z1804).

Ok, I couldn't resist making another card with the October Stamp of the Month set! This is from a card sketch in our new Make It From The Heart How To Book (9035 $7.95). October SOTM Very Merry Christmas and Avonlea

 Just had to share a couple cards I made with the October Stamp of the Month! If you are like me it is hard to think about Christmas just yet! The days are still warm and nice and I am getting everybody ready for Halloween and trick or treating! I hate to be the one to say but Christmas is a mere 63 days away!!

I used our beautiful Avonlea paper packet ( $9.95 X7155B) to create two quick and easy cards! This paper has slate grey, minty green, teal and blue colors! It isn't traditional  Christmas paper, but I think it looks very elegant with the featured stamp set! I added a bit of our Slate Satin Polka Dot Ribbon ( Z1802 $4.95 /5 yds.) and some Stardust Glitz Glitter Gel (Z1313 $2.75)

Fall Halloween Card with CTMH Treat Cups

Did I mention that I love Fall! Ok !Well I love Fall! Pumkin muffins, Pumkin Lattes, Homemade Apple Butter, and Candy Corn are some of my favorite treats!

 

 My Upline and Friend, Joann Van Wormer made these adorable Fall cards using our treat cups (Z1778 $3.95), Moonlight paper packet (X7161B $9.95), Burlap Ribbon ( Z1760 7.95 /5yds) and our scalloped punch or the Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge. She made two cards, two different ways with both sides of the paper! I love how she made the scalloped circles look like a pumpkin! So cute Joann! Thank you for sharing one with me!

My Creations Star CTMH Pear and Partridge

A new item in the Close To My Heart catalog this season is the My Creations Star (Z1797 $8.95). This white chipboard star is just ready to be decorated for any occasion. I used our new Pear and Partridge Paper Packet( X7162B $9.95) and embellishment collection! It came together rather quickly once I decided what I was going to cover it with. There is a template available to trace or you can use wax paper to make your own. I covered each of the points in paper, distressed the edges with our Olive ink and added my embellishments. I used the zip strip from the papers edge to cover in between each point, our beautiful and easy to apply Festive Red Velvet rub ons (Z1743 $4.95), red bling and some of the chipboard Dimensional Elements In Color Holiday (Z1772 $5.95.

Moonlight Fall Layout

Today is the first day of Fall! My very favorite season! I love the crisp mornings, beautiful fall leaves, apple butter,  pumkin spice muffins, lattes and fall soups. Most of all I love taking pictures of my girls enjoying the season! This is a picture from last years pumkin patch! Morgan humored me by sitting on the little tractor so I could take some pictures. I used the Moonlight WOTG  papers and sketch (G1051 $29.95), the September SOTM (S1209 $17.95 or only ?$5.00 with any $35.00 purchase), Arbor Wooden Shapes (Z1765 $5.95) and a retired alphabet stamp that I still love, Rustic. Avonlea My Creations Bracket Frame from CTMH

This summer our family had the pleasure of attending a couple of weddings. I took the opportunity to have our friend take our picture while we were all dressed up! I decorated one of the new My Creations bracket frames (71797 $8.95) from CTMH with our new Avonlea paper packet (X7155B $9.95) and the matching Cmpliments Canvas Shapes (X7155C $5.95). I also used the Sparkles Flourishes (Z1708 $4.95) and some rolled flowers cut with the New Cricut Artiste cartridge. I had a lot of fun making this frame and am really excited by how it turned out! Colors are much better in person! LOL!

Fall Harvest Card CTMH New Alcohol Markers

Just made this card using our new alcohol markers and the stamp set Fall Harvest (C1504 $13.95). I used the new Moonlight papers (X7161B $9.95)  and  burlap ribbon. All edges were distressed with chocolate Ink. I stamped the leaves in Chocolate or New England Ivy ink then colored them in with the new alcohol markers. I only have a few so had to improvise a bit!  I used Honey, Ruby and Olive sets. I also added a little Chocolate but it didn't blend at all! I then crumpled up the leaves pretty well before pop dotting them onto the card!

Boo Banner CTMH Spellbound WOTG!

I made this cute banner with the new Workshop on the Go titled Spellbound (G1040 $32.95). This kit includes all the papers, stramps, embellishments and instructions to create a Halloween party for 8. It utilizes our new Cricut cartridge Artiste to cut out the banners, cupcake liners and picks, adorable treat bags, soda labels and more. The banner went together pretty quickly with the help of the instructions and the Cricut! I added a few more things than were listed...I used the zip strips to fancy up the banner tops and I had to stamp my cute little Creepy Creatures (C1522 $13.95)

Simple Congratulations Card CTMH Moonlight Papers

Well the girls are back in school and hopefully I will have a lot more time for my crafting! I organized some of my supplies and now I 'm ready to go! Here is a simple little card using the Moonlight paper packet to get started with. This is a Halloween packet but the papers can be used for any occasion! I used the color ready ribbon as is! Dakota Card CTMH

It is so hard for me to pick a favorite paper pack from the new Fall/Winter Idea Book. Each time I make something I think this is my favorite! LOL! This card uses the Dakota paper! It has a great western feel to it! Love the weathered barn paper1 This card layout came from the new pattern book Make It From Your Heart (only $7.95!). There is no stamping on it!!! I did use a couple ink pads to distress the stars and the edges. I also pop dotted them and added black brads and a medallion. Super easy! You could add a sentiment towards the bottom if desired! CTMH Scholastic Birthday Card with Cricut Artiste

Another card using the new Scholastic papers! This one has a cute chocolate cupcake cut out with the Artiste Cricut Cartridge and stamped using one of the stamp sets included with the collection. This set has the cupcake, the birthday wishes banner, several sayings and small images. I used Chocolate ink, my favorite go to ink!

Just because I could not resist this beautiful new paper from Close To My Heart! A simple little birthday card ! La Belle Vie is a french inspired paper using smoky plum, black, bamboo and  exclusive colors la Belle Vie pink and mauve! I used a card pattern from the new book Make It From the Heart and the Artiste CTMH Cricut cartridge! I also used our color ready ribbon! This card came together very quickly!

August SOTM Wedding Card with Artiste Rosette

I had the pleasure of attending a good friend's wedding last night! It was a beautiful wedding in traditional red, white and black! I made this card for them using papers from our Pear and Partridge collection, the August Stamp of the Month and the stamp set 4 My Friend (D1510). I added some of the new black tulle and a rosette I made from the Artiste Cricut Cartridge. This is the same card pattern I used for the last card I posted! I made this quick and easy Birthday card for a guy friend of mine! I used the new Scholastic papers, cupcake stamp from the Artiste Cricut Bundle, black jute and brads. I love to distress my papers with a chocolate ink pad. I also pop dot most of my images. The design came from our new Make It From The Heart layout book. This is such a bargain at only $7.95. The card designs are so easy and versatile. All are standard A2 cards. There  are also several double page layouts with full color pictures, cutting diagrams too!

New Flirty Paper CTMH Blessings Card

I just had to make a card with our new Flirty papers! The colors are so bright and fun! This card has no stamping on it! I used the papers for the backgrounds, cut out the rose and pop dotted it on and added the bow! I did edge distress all the papers with chocolate ink. The sayings are from the zip strips! These are bonus elements on each patterned paper. One side has a list of coordinating colors and the other side has little sayings or designs elements to add to your cards and layouts!

I have to say I did not even like this paper in the idea book, but in person it is gorgeous! You must see it!

Okay! School is out and summer has started! I have seriously neglected my crafting the last two weeks. I took the girls to Portland shopping and then to Washington to the Great Wolf Lodge for Shelby's birthday. This week I have been driving them to cheer practice and girl scout day camp! Seems I am even busier during the summer than the school year!

I wanted to post this simple card I made using our Typeset papers. These papers will be retiring with this catalog, so get them while you can! My Hero Tri Fold Card with CTMH Victory Papers

We made these cards at my last card party. They are just a little different! It is a simple tri fold card. The paper is cut 6" x 12" then scored at 4" and 8".  I used the Victory papers and stamp set from the Victory WOTG. I also used some natural jute and the bottom arrow is from the Mile Post shapes.  Colors are a little off in this picture. I am trying to make more masculine cards. Friendship Card CTMH Dotty Paper

I used the Color-Ready Seam Binding Ribbon (10 yards for $6.95 Z1732). I colored it with the Sunset ink pad and a sponge. Drag the ribbon across the ink pad while pressing down with the sponge until you get the desired color. It looks a little blotchy at first but dries quickly and perfectly! Amazing stuff! You can have ribbon in any color to match any paper! Papers are lagoon cardstock and the green tapestry Dotty paper. Butterflies were cut at 1 inch with the Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge exclusive to CTMH! The branch , 4 My Friend plaque and the card were also cut using AP cartridge! There are so many possibilities with the cricut cartridge. Everytime I use it, I find something I hadn't noticed before!

Stamped Wooden Frames CTMH

This frame was cased from a project another consultant did. I would love to give her credit but cannot remember who it was. If it was you, please leave me a comment so I can give you proper credit! I stamped directly on the wooded frame ( I purchased at Michael's for $1.00.) with Chocolate Ink and then used a blending pen and Sunflower ink to color in the flowers. I added a bit of Bronze Glitz to the centers and a little ribbon embellishment! Easy peasy! I think it turned out cute! I used the May SOTM Friendship Bouquet! My favorite SOTM ever!

Then I had to make another one for my other daughter! I used the rose stamp from the stamp set C1494 Card Word Puzzle (my favorite stamp set in the new catalog!). I used Black Staz On ink and colored it in with the blending pen technique and Tulip ink. What do you think? I did not take a lot of time on them and it was an experiment. I like them! Cute inexpensive gifts! I think my Girl Scouts could even make these! Happy Stamping! Sandee

CTMH May SOTM Sunflower Seeds Pocket Card

As soon as I saw the May SOTM I knew what card style I wanted to make! I love sunflowers and this set is no exception! I have made several cards with it and am planning a layout too! These can be colored any colors or just left white similar to a Shasta Daisy! So many possibilities! This card is made out of one sheet of paper and folded to make two pockets. Our double sided patterned paper is perfect for this project. In the back pocket I placed a package of sunflower seeds, the front pocket has a journaling tag! Notice I used the little zip strip from the Pemberly paper to decorate the left side! I used black ink on white daisy cardstock and then used a water brush to essentially water color the images with sunflower, garden green and chocolate ink. If you give our ink pads a little squeeze before opening them, there is just enough ink on the lid to water color or use a blending pen with!

Crop The Day Away 4/14

On April 14th I will be a vendor at one of my favorite local crops. Crop The Day Away is an all day crop sponsored by the Beta Upsilon Chapter of the Beta Sigma Phi. The crop is from 9 am until 5 pm. They will serve breakfast, lunch and snacks. There are raffles throughout the day with many great donated prizes. The grand prize is a Cricut Expression! All proceeds from the raffles will be donated to Relay for Life. The cost of the crop is $30 and includes make and takes, goody bag, food, beverages and plenty of space to crop all day! Proceeds from the crop fee will go to support various charities for the Beta Upsilon Chapter. There are still a few spots left.
