Lollydoodle Cardmaking Kit

New Year, new projects and new memories!

Well it has been awhile since I last posted! Life has just been happening too fast! We had Football season with my two cheer girls, a trip to Disneyland, Thanksgiving, Morgan's eleventh Birthday, the big freeze, the Holidays and whew! I wonder why I am so tired!!

I had the opportunity to try our online scrapbooking program Studio J. I had some layout credits from a long time ago that were due to expire at the end of last year. I sat down the last few nights before the New Year and played to my hearts content. I downloaded my pictures quickly and easily with the program. I was even able to resize and edit them. I made a total of 14 two page layouts in about six hours. I am really excited to receive these. I learned a lot but did make a few mistakes (I spelled San Francisco wrong 3X!!!). I will be able to add more embellishments and fix any boo boos when I get them. I was in a hurry because of my credits expiring.

Fall Wreath Using Cricut Cartridges

I made this burlap wreath last year using burlap ribbon and a wire wreath form. I have made snowflakes, fourth of July rosettes and now fall leaves to decorate it. I cut all of these leaves out on my Cricut with the CTMH Art Philosophy and Artiste cartridges. I hot glued the leaves onto a cardboard form and then pinned the whole thing onto the wreath making  it interchangeable for the different seasons. Happy Stamping! Sandee

Home of the Brave!

Quick card I made using this month's special release stamp set "Home of the Brave" D1576  I stamped directly onto White Daisy cardstock using Cranberry, Grey Wool  and Outdoor Denim Ink. The paper strip on the bottom was a scrap I had left over from the retired Super Hero paper. I wrapped it with cranberry striped baker's twine.  Flag and lady Liberty were stamped, then cut out and popped up for more dimension! I added red glitzy glitter and some silver stars!

CTMH Chantilly Spring Cards Using Cricut Art Philosophy

I made a couple cards using the new Chantilly papers! I used the CTMH exclusive Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge to cut out the cards and the birds!  These cards have no stamping on them! The sentiments are from the border zip strips that come on the papers. A little bonus each paper has! Colors are better in person!

Chantilly Banner Birthday Card

 I made a couple of sweet cards using our new Chantilly paper packet! This paper features the bright  colors of Spring: Cotton Candy, Pear, Ruby, Buttercup, Sunset and Twilight. This card has a little bling, a little baker's Twine and some retired Pink Pom Pom Ribbon!

The second card is a standard A2 card. I used the card pattern found in the Chantilly Card Workshop on the Go! It includes a great stamp set with banners, the cake and other images for celebrating. I added a little bling and some more of that great Pom Pom Ribbon ! Happy Stamping! Sandee

Paper cutting tricks!

So this weekend I was showing a friend how to make some cards and I chose to do 5 x 7 size. I showed her how to cut the 5 x 7 card and then use the remainder 5 x 5 piece for a little tent style card. (See previous post For Always!)

I then showed her how to cut (4) 5 x 7 pieces of background and texture paper from one 12  x 12 with no waste. I sometimes forget that not everyone knows these tricks! LOL! I found a great tutorial from the Cafe Crop site with a PDF file too! I hope they don't mind me posting it!

Later Sk8r! Fun Valentine using new papers!

Sneak peek of our fun new masculine papers called Later Sk8r (X7167B $9.95)! Super cool! Mustache Valentine's using CTMH Artiste Cricut Cartridge

Not the best picture, but my DD Morgan and I made these mustache candy sticks for all the boys in her class for Valentine's Day! We used the CTMH Cricut cartridge Artiste! The candy is Valentine Sixlets from the Dollar store (MHO they don't taste that great!) On the back we made little labels that say Happy Valentine's Day Your Friend, Morgan. She would like to cut out lips for the girls. I need to find a cut for that next!

Sneak Peek from New Catalog! Girls Rock

 I just had to make a couple cards with these bright colors using the new Girls Rock stamps! I cut all of the flowers using the Art Philosphy Cricut Cartridge!

Pear and Partridge Treat Card

I made this little treat card using our wonderful Cricut Cartridge Artiste. I cut the image at 2 1/2 using the Pear and Partridge paper packet. It is the perfect size for a Ghiradelli Chocolate! You can also cut it at 3 1/2 and it would fit a gift card!

We will be making these at my annual Holiday Open House this Tuesday December 4th! Please message me for more information! CTMH Advent Calendar Kit

 

 

 

 

I did it! I finished my WOTG Advent calendar before December 1st! The kit (G1044) and the Cricut Artiste Cartridge made it really easy! I chose to stamp my numbers on Colonial White cardstock for more contrast. I also blinged up each box a little! I used the papers, as well as the dimensional elements and bitty bling provided in the kit. Ink colors are Cranberry, Cocoa and Olive.

This would be fun to make as a Birthday countdown, Wedding countdown or even a vacation countdown! The frame is available individually (Z1804).

Ok, I couldn't resist making another card with the October Stamp of the Month set! This is from a card sketch in our new Make It From The Heart How To Book (9035 $7.95). This great new publication has 16 two page layout patterns, two single page layout patterns and twelve different card patterns! Love it! October SOTM Very Merry Christmas and Avonlea

 Just had to share a couple cards I made with the October Stamp of the Month! If you are like me it is hard to think about Christmas just yet! The days are still warm and nice and I am getting everybody ready for Halloween and trick or treating! I hate to be the one to say but Christmas is a mere 63 days away!!

I used our beautiful Avonlea paper packet ( $9.95 X7155B) to create two quick and easy cards! This paper has slate grey, minty green, teal and blue colors! It isn't traditional  Christmas paper, but I think it looks very elegant with the featured stamp set! I added a bit of our Slate Satin Polka Dot Ribbon ( Z1802 $4.95 /5 yds.) and some Stardust Glitz Glitter Gel (Z1313 $2.75)
